Who we move
We handle professional offices, dental and medical practices, retail units, and small warehouses across Richmond, Vancouver, and the surrounding cities. Each type has its own quirks, and we plan the job around them rather than treating every business the same.
Retail moves need inventory kept in order, so shelving and stock are labelled by section and go back in the same layout at the new store.
Planning around downtime
It starts with a site visit at both locations. We count workstations, measure the large pieces, check the loading bay and elevator situation, and ask what needs to be working first at the new address.
From there we build a floor plan with numbered zones, so every desk and box is tagged to a spot before it leaves the old space. Most of our office moves run Friday evening through the weekend so nobody loses a working day.
For a clinic, a delayed reopening means rescheduling patients who were already booked for that week, a cost that never shows up on the moving invoice but is felt all the same.
Equipment that needs special handling
Server racks, copiers, and lab or clinical equipment travel differently than office furniture. We use anti-static wrap for electronics, padded crates for anything fragile, and dedicated cases for server hardware so nothing gets stacked on top of it.
Filing cabinets and patient or client records move with a simple sign-out sheet, so nothing confidential goes missing between the two buildings.
Working with building management
Most office towers in Richmond and Vancouver want a certificate of insurance naming the building, a booked freight elevator, and floor protection through common areas. Miss one of those and security can turn the truck away at the door.
We handle that paperwork as part of the job and have worked in many of the same buildings before, so we usually know what the office is going to ask for before you call them.
